Quarterly update (Q1 '25)
Published on: | by Uditha Atukorala
Q1 2025 was a quarter of pleasant surprises.
This quarter we’ve been working on AI models to analyse web traffic in real-time to identify potential cyberattacks. We’ve done quite a few experiments and built proof-of-concepts, but we were making slow progress. A breakthrough came by when we experimented with combining AI and software logic.
As a side-project we started looking into building our own user authentication. It’s still early days but it’s showing positive indicators of being able to convert to an Identity as a Service (IDaaS). As a product, the IDaaS can have close integrations with our AI models for better threat detection and prevention.
We also closed our (unplanned) pre-seed round led by Haatch this quarter.
💰 Revenue
We generated £15k (non-recurring) revenue this quarter with a gross margin of 76.61%.
🎉 Highs
We’ve significantly improved our ability to detect potential threats by combining AI decision making with software logic.
🪫 Lows
Our YC X25 application got rejected (we’ve written about it here).
👀 Looking ahead
In Q2, we’ll be focusing on testing and fine-tuning our AI models for speed and accuracy.
